DEPARTING Ipswich skipper Jim Magilton today owned up that he would love to return one day - as manager!
The experienced midfielder will make his farewell Portman Road appearance against Derby tomorrow as he approaches the end of his Town playing career.
But Magilton, who will be 37 next month, admitted: “No one knows what is going to happen in the future, especially in football.
“But of course I would love to be the Ipswich manager. Who wouldn't? It is one of the best jobs in football.
“There are probably a million and one people out there who would jump at the chance - and I'm one of them.
“If the job was vacant and the time was right for me - I've got a bit to prove first - I would definitely want it.”
