IPSWICH boss Joe Royle is planning a pre-Christmas transfer swoop.
Royle wants to boost his squad ahead of a busy schedule that will see second-placed Town in Championship action five times in just 13 days.
He aims to bring in a new face ahead of the top-of-the-table clash with leaders Wigan at Portman Road in a week's time.
Royle said today: “There is room in the budget for one loan signing and in an ideal world I'd like to sort something out before the Christmas programme gets under way.”
