Kim leaves sickbed to help Witches win

IPSWICH Evening Star Witches man Kim Jansson got off his sickbed to help his side to an Elite League victory at Foxhall Stadium last night.The young Swede had endured a torrid evening on Wednesday, but picked himself up to play a key role in the Suffolk side's 48-45 victory over Swindon, although the Robins collected the aggregate bonus point after their 53-40 win in Wiltshire on Tuesday night.

IPSWICH Evening Star Witches man Kim Jansson got off his sickbed to help his side to an Elite League victory at Foxhall Stadium last night.

The young Swede had endured a torrid evening on Wednesday, but picked himself up to play a key role in the Suffolk side's 48-45 victory over Swindon, although the Robins collected the aggregate bonus point after their 53-40 win in Wiltshire on Tuesday night.

“I have been sick all last night and a bit this morning,” he said.

“I wasn't going to miss the meeting, but I have felt better. We wanted the bonus point really tonight, but their top boys were too good.

“It was a good team effort by all of us and it was most important to win. We knew it would be hard but we all did our bit.”
