THE magic of the Senior Cup certainly gripped Leiston who recently have been underachieving, but on Saturday, they put fellow Jewson League Needham Market to the sword with a comfortable 3-0 victory.

The home side set the tone from the start with Holland in the visitors' goal, denying an early Jennings chance. Leiston were finally rewarded halfway through the half when Holland, under pressure from Jennings, weak punch fell to Newson who calmly side-footed home the opening goal.

Holland then single-handedly kept Needham in the tie producing excellent saves to deny both Chenery brothers, while Norris in the Leiston goal, couldn't have wished for a quieter afternoon.

The outstanding Jennings and Kirtley gave the Needham back four a torrid time all afternoon and they were both rewarded in the second-half. Kirtley back-headed the second Leiston goal from close range and then Jennings ran onto C Chenery's clever ball to complete the scoring and set up a mouth-watering home clash with holders Kirkley in the next round in late November.
