IT may have only been Walsall – an unglamorous club who suffered a dreadful defeat at home to a deplorable Derby County side on Saturday – but the result meant so much.
It was three points Ipswich Town needed at Portman Road last night and it was three points they got to lift the huge black cloud that has been hovering over the club.
There is little doubt they deserved the first win of their First Division campaign to take them off the bottom of the table.
