IPSWICH Rugby club kick off the new season tomorrow night with a full scale friendly match against Hadleigh at Humber Doucy Lane (kick off 7.30pm).

New players will be welcome as Ipswich will be using the game as a trial for the start of the new league season on Saturday September 7, when Ipswich's first game in the London League Division Two North is away at Letchworth.

Mike Hancock, Ipswich's director of rugby, said: "We are always on the look-out for new talent, if anyone comes along we will be prepared to give them a run out to assess their ability."

The Ipswich team captain for the new season will be Adrian Price and former coach and first XV player Ian May is returning to the club as first team manager.

For the first time Ipswich will have managers as well as captains for all three senior Saturday sides.

Nick Hall will be taking charge of the Magpies who will be captained by Nicky Hollie. Jon Searle is A team manager, Dave Edwards is captain.

Regular coaching and training sessions continue each Tuesday and Thursday evening at Humber Doucy Lane in preparation for the forthcoming season.
