STANTON booked their place in the Omnico Cup final with a convincing win over an Old Newton team who were a shadow of the team unbeaten in the league over the past four months.
Stanton scored in the 35th minute when a corner kick from Hazelton was powerfully headed home by Bray.
Stanton increased their lead in the 67th minute when a low 30-yard volley from Shave beat the diving Wade to finish in the bottom corner of the net.
Old Newton missed a chance to reduce the arrears in the 70th minute when Hayward fired a spot kick high over the bar after Pilborough had been brought down by a defender.
Hazelton netted the third for Stanton in the 78th minute and with Stanton content to defend Old Newton scored a consolation goal in the 82nd minute when a long-range shot from Bryant finished in the net with keeper Mustoe well off his line.
