IPSWICH East Suffolk showed their strength in depth as they crushed Chess Valley in Division Two South of the Printwize East League.

With several first team players unavailable, their replacements proved more than adequate and the home side had to work hard defensively, with all 11 players often behind the ball.

Abigail Adams opened their account after 15 minutes after a short corner strike had rebounded to her and goals then came at regular intervals.

Fourteen-year-old Hannah Golding, who showed great awareness, scored twice in almost identical fashion, sweeping the ball first time past the keeper after superb skill down the right by Kate Digby and Fran Poppleton.

In between Golding's efforts, Tilly Waspe scored from another well-worked short corner while the IES defence dealt comfortably with the home side's sporadic attacks.

The second half saw IES continue to push forward with Claire Laight and Annie Taylor finding time and space to feed the forwards and they added two more from Louise Carter who made a big impression on her debut.

IES rounded off a superb all-round display when Australian teenager Danni Atkin completed the scoring from another short corner.
