FORMER Ipswich Town midfield darling, Kieron Dyer, almost capped a romantic return to Portman Road last night with a goal.
The Newcastle star, who was involved in a great build-up for Frank Lampard's England third, was ruled offside as he put one in himself soon after.
In fact, it had been a wrong decision as the dashing Dyer had been a yard to the good.
"It would been the icing on the cake in what was already a fantastic night for me," said the Ipswich born and bred former Westbourne High School pupil.
