It may be too late to save them from the drop, but full marks anyway and the result was deserved reward for manager Paul Adams' hard work.
Mark Moye wins my player of the week accolade for his two goals in Walsham-le-Willows' Omnico Cup semi-final victory over Ipswich Athletic.
Walsham will meet Stanton in the final at Woodbridge Town on May 14. Stanton beat Old Newton 2-1 in the other semi, but the latter can gain some consolation next Wednesday when the Metaltec SIL teams of the month are announced.
Newton vie with Melton St Audry's for the March senior prize with AFC Debenham and Dennington United up for the junior award. Capel Plough reserves have won the March outstanding result award.
