All the singles competitions have reach the final stage at the Felixstowe Junior Tennis Tournament.

In the boys' 18-and-under competition No. 1 seed Richard Harrison has cruised to the final, losing only three games in total. His semi-final performance against No. 2 seed Robin Daniels was outstanding, as he didn't lose a single game.

His opponent in the final will be Sam Gould, who came through a tough three-set match against the No. 4 seed Chris Lovett. Though un-seeded in this competition Gould has looked confident throughout, which has also been apparent in the 16-and-under singles where he is the No. 1 seed. The 15-year-old from Chelmsford has also reached the final stage of this age group after beating Tom Perry in straight sets. With a chance of the double he will be at least looking for one title after losing both finals at the Framlingham Tournament.

His tormentor at that competition was Mark Cooper, who won both finals but was knocked out convincingly yesterday by No. 2 seed David Walters in the other semi-final.

Another player with a chance of the double is Ashley Watling, who beat Joseph Bloomfield in the semi-final of the 12-and-under singles. He had already reached the final of the 14-and-under singles on Wednesday when he defeated Ben Roberts-Law in straight sets.

He will now face Matthew Hough, the Suffolk No. 1 in that age group, and his opponent in the 12-and-under singles will be Tom Lamming. Both these finals see the top two seeds face each other, with Watling the underdog in the 14-and-under but favourite in the 12-and-under.

In the girls competition unseeded Kari Sherington beat No. 2 seed Robyn White in the 12-and-under singles to set up a final with her sister, No. 1 seed Holly Sherington.
