IPSWICH Town manager Joe Royle today paid tribute to Peter Osgood, the former Chelsea and England striker who died of a heart attack yesterday.
Royle said: “I got to know Peter well when we played in the England Under-23s together. He was a great player and a lovely bloke. I was surprised that he only had four full England caps because he was a top striker.
“I was very upset when I heard and my thoughts and best wishes are with his family.”
