This popular town-centre venue is really getting into the World Cup spirit, and promising to screen every match. Customers can book reserved priority seating, with various other World Cup-themed treats and offers in store.
Greshams, Tuddenham Road
You can see England’s matches on a big 6-metre screen at this popular venue, which will have a great footballing atmosphere, with ex-Ipswich Town stars Russell Osman and Simon Milton as your hosts. Book your seat now via the Greshams website, with special food and drink offers.
The Plough, Dogs Head Street
A traditional pub with an emphasis on food and drink, The Plough has built a reputation as a place to watch sport. You can reserve your table in advance to watch the World Cup.
The Golf Hotel, Foxhall Road
All the live action from Russia will be screened in HD at this Greene King pub, and you can download a season ticket app for World Cup-themed offers. The Golf has a wide range of food to enjoy while you are cheering on the teams.
The Royal George, Colchester Road
Known for its steaks and burgers, the Royal George is also a popular sporting pub. It will be showing all the matches from the group stages through to the final in HD, and also has the Greene King app for World Cup offers.
Isaacs on the Quay, Wherry Quay
With unique historic buildings on the Ipswich Waterfront, Isaacs shows a wide range of live sport, as well as being a popular food and music venue. World Cup matches will be shown live in HD on multiple screens.
The Gardeners Arms, Bishops Hill
Football is very much the theme of this sports and music bar, which is decorated in signed football shirts. It has 14 HD screens and an HD projector screen, offering the facility to see up to four live games at once. The bar is part of the Bentley’s restaurant group, together with Isaacs and Briarbank Brewing Company.
Cock & Pye, Upper Brook Street
This popular food pub will be screening all the World Cup action. As a Greene King pub, it will be serving up a special World Cup golden ale, brewed together with former footballer Chris Kamara. This will be available from June 14.
PJ McGintys & Sons, Northgate Street
This Irish pub and sports bar is gearing up for the World Cup, and preparing to screen matches daily all through the tournament. Known for its friendly atmosphere and Irish craic, the pub is also a popular live music venue.
Unit 17, Cardinal Park
This Ipswich nightspot is the Budweiser World Cup fan zone in Ipswich, with a giant LED screen, large projectors and multiple TVs. There will also be various other World Cup-themed events to add to the party atmosphere, including vuvuzelas and whistles and various competitions.
Man in the Moon, Palmcroft Road
This traditional community-style pub is one of Greene King’s pubs in Ipswich, and is offering football viewing throughout the World Cup, with special football-themed offers.
