The toy demonstrator won the job after his fellow contestants were asked to vote for the final head of house instead of nominating people for eviction.
The news means that Mo, who claimed four votes to Kathreya's three, is now immune from Friday's eviction vote.
While Mo sat in stunned silence after hearing the news, Ipswich-born Darnell said it was “great” that he would be in the final, adding that the show was “like a movie.”
