According to reports, the 26-year-old was talked round by show bosses after his fellow housemates thought he had left.
It came after he and Rex had a row with Australian PA Sara which saw them reprimanded for their behaviour.
Musician Darnell is one of the favourites to win the show, which finishes next week.
Tonight's eviction pits pals Sara and Lisa against each other, with bookies saying the result is too close to call.
