The model had spent a month on the show but decided last night that she wanted to leave.
The 28-year-old told fellow housemates that she “never really got 100% comfortable” in the house and wanted to watch the others battle it out to win the show on TV.
After saying her goodbyes, at 9.06pm she went to the Diary Room and confirmed that she did want to leave the house.
She said: “I've had a good month and a really good day today but it's in my head to go.”
Maysoon's departure from the Big Brother house will mean that she is no longer a part of this week's vote - viewers were made aware of this following the main highlights show last night.
Her decision will not affect the Friday night eviction, which now pits eight housemates against each other in the public vote.
Channel 4 has agreed that viewers who voted for Maysoon to be evicted prior to her line being closed are entitled to a full refund.
