Grease is the word at the Regent this summer.

The musical is one of many highlights coming to the theatre and Corn Exchange.

It will be followed by another week-long musical, Dreamboats and Petticoats which comes direct from London’s West End.

For dance fans, Matthew Bourne’s Early Adventures looks at the early hit pieces that launched the famous choreographer’s career.

Like snooker? Then see ex-world champions Dennis Taylor, Jimmy White, John Parrott and Cliff Thorburn in action.

“The Regent Theatre is once again offering a fantastic range of top quality events from week-long shows to top comedy and from rock to world class classical,” says councillor Bryony Rudkin, culture portfolio-holder for Ipswich Borough Council.

“This not only gives an ever growing audience more choice, it also boost the local economy. We are also offering shows to suit every pocket – making every effort to make sure they are accessible to everyone.”
