FROM young to old the audience was a sea of T-Birds and Pink Ladies all in competition to win the best fancy dress prize as the evening began.
The host dressed in a Danny Zuco costume warmed up the audience, encouraging singing, actions and heckles where fitting in the film, along with dance routines for Grease lightning and the hand jive.
He had the entire theatre dancing and laughing, from six-year-olds in the aisles to hen parties in big groups; a hilarious girls night out.
It was also a great chance to see a classic film again on the big screen and a very young John Travolta. For weeks later I imagine the whole audience will be humming those well-known songs Summer Nights and You’re the one that I want.
