Six new electric vehicle charging points have been installed just off the A12, outside Ipswich.

The high-powered EV chargers, installed by Osprey Charging, are located at the Bypass Nurseries Garden Centre.

The chargers will add up to 100 miles of range in around 20 minutes of charge, depending on the vehicle and its battery.

They are compatible with every electric vehicle that is currently on the market.

Drivers can use pay using contactless cards, as well as Apple and Google Pay.

Ian Johnston, CEO of Osprey Charging, said: "The new charging hub is a vital part of the re-charging network that will enable the decarbonisation of transport in the UK."

The charging points have funded the installation, operation and will oversee the maintenance of the chargers, which are supplied with renewable energy.

With a ban on new petrol and diesel vehicles set for 2030, electric vehicles are set to see an increase in demand over the coming years.
