An Ipswich musician whose rise to stardom has seen him reach number one in the rap and hiphop charts is now looking for your stories to inspire his songs.

Ipswich born and bred Seekah Lytess, 32, is making waves on the music scene.

His new single 'Reality' was recently number one in the rap and hiphop charts and number 12 for all genres on iTunes.

Before lockdown, Seekah was handpicked by the BBC to perform at Latitude Festival.

Since then, he's been attracting attention from a long list of celebrities, including Charlie Sloth, Jacqueline Josa, Romesh Ranganathan, Gaz Beadle and Ryan Hope who all follow him on Instagram.

"Everything's happening so quickly," Seekah said.

"I went from 5,000 followers to 33,000 in the space of a few months."

Growing up in a family of musicians, Seekah took a lot of inspiration from his uncle, who was a garage MC in the 90s.

"I used to watch him rehearsing in the spare room of my nan's house," he said.

"All my family are musicians, so I think it really stemmed from there."

'Your Story by Seeks' is a project the rapper is particularly passionate about, where he invited people to send him their stories and he'll transform them in to a song.

"I get great satisfaction from helping people and shedding light on difficult topics," he said.

"I'm honoured that they trust me as an artist to tell their story."

"It's been a really long slog getting here, but I finally feel like I'm getting to enjoy the fruits of my labour."
