A residential Ipswich road will be closed next week for urgent pothole repairs.

Norman Crescent off Nacton Road will be closed between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Monday.

Suffolk Highways are carrying out the repairs.

While the road is closed a diversion roue will be in place which is as follows: Nacton Road to Benacre Road and vice versa.

It comes after a pothole that is so deep you can fit your foot down it has appeared in a car park in the town.

The gaping hole has recently been discovered in the Ipswich Borough Council car park in Portman Road, behind the AXA building.
