An Ipswich man who was involved in the supply of cannabis in the town has been jailed for two years and made the subject of a criminal behaviour order.
Police officers who raided a number of addresses in Ipswich seized phones belonging to Brandon Smith and Travis Abbott which contained messages relating to them being involved in the supply of the class B drug, Ipswich Crown Court heard.
Matthew Sorel-Cameron, prosecuting, said the premises raided by police included properties in Franciscan Way, Partridge Road, Kingfisher Avenue and Cardiff Avenue, Ipswich.
Smith, 27, of Partridge Road, Ipswich, and Abbott, 34, of Kingfisher Avenue, Ipswich, admitted being concerned in the supply of cannabis on or before December 2, 2022.
Smith also admitted being concerned in the supply of cannabis between December 2021 and June 2022.
In addition to being jailed for two years, Smith was was made the subject of a criminal behaviour order for five years.
The order bans Smith from associating with a number of named individuals and entering an exclusion area.
It also places a restriction on the number of mobile phones he can possess.
Abbott was given a two year community order, a 40 day rehabilitation activity requirement and ordered to do 120 hours unpaid work.
Nicholas Bleaney, for Abbott, said his client had been in custody for seven months and was now clean of drugs.
Steven Dyble, for Smith, accepted that a custodial sentence was inevitable.
