A broken down vehicle on the Orwell Bridge outside Ipswich caused long delays this morning.
Officers were called to the incident on the eastbound carriageway of the A14 at about 10.50am on Tuesday.
Traffic maps showed that queues were forming back to junction 55 at the Copdock Interchange.
Recovery for the vehicle has been called.
It is the second incident to have been reported on the A14 on Tuesday morning after a vehicle broke down during rush hour.
