Police have put a cordon in place at a building in Norwich Road in Ipswich.

A large police presence was seen outside Wilbury House, near the town centre, on Saturday afternoon.

The building has been surrounded with a heavy emergency services presence, including multiple police cars and vans.

A police dog unit has also reportedly attended the scene.

Wilbury House is understood to have been used as a hotel and a house of multiple occupancy in the past.

UPDATE: Cordon remains in place on Sunday morning

The building is close to the shops along Norwich Road, near the roundabout for St Matthew's Street.
