Three new flats will soon be available in Ipswich town centre after planning approval was granted.

It was proposed in March to convert Maritime House in St Helen’s Street into three three-bedroom flats.

The flats will be spread across three levels, with each flat being contained on its own floor.

The flats will all have the same layout, with a double bedroom with its own ensuite bathroom, two single bedrooms and a family bathroom. The flats will also have three areas marked for storage and a combined kitchen, living and dining area.

The application showed that four car parking spaces will be provided within an internal courtyard.

Ipswich Borough Council gave these plans the green light on Wednesday.
